AMFI
The Association of Mutual Funds in India, the industry body for AMCs.
AMFI is a non-profit body of all SEBI-registered mutual fund houses. It runs the certification (NISM) for distributors, publishes industry data (monthly AUM, scheme-wise flows), and runs the 'Mutual Funds Sahi Hai' investor education campaign. AMFI does not regulate; that is SEBI's job. But the data it publishes (AUM, folio counts, category-level flows) is the standard reference for the Indian mutual fund market.
